Option 1: From Kuala Namu International Airport (KNO)  Via Medan City and Berastagi Town

This route takes you through the vibrant Medan city before heading towards Berastagi, known for its cool climate and lush surroundings. You will first travel along a well-maintained toll highway, providing a smooth and efficient start to your trip. As you approach Berastagi, the road begins to wind through the picturesque mountains, offering breathtaking views of the lush valleys and tropical rainforest. This segment of the journey is filled with curves and gentle elevation changes, making for a scenic drive.

 

Total Travel Time: Approximately 3.5 hours direct, depending on traffic conditions.

Option 2: From Kuala Namu International Airport (KNO)  Via Pematang Siantar City

For those who prefer a quieter route, you can opt to bypass Medan city by traveling through Pematang Siantar City. Similar to the first option, you will start your journey on the toll highway. After Pematang Siantar City, it will be a more direct drive while still providing beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and tea plantations.

Option 3: From Raja Sisingamangaraja XII (Silangit) Airport (DTB)

This journey is also a delightful experience that immerses you in the stunning landscapes of Lake Toba.The road is generally less congested, providing a peaceful driving experience, navigating through winding roads that meander the edges of the lake. 

 

Total Travel Time: Approximately 4 hours direct, depending on traffic conditions.
